So, obviously, if you guys didn't want to go down that route, that's totally reasonable. That being said, that's probably a lot of work that would require quite a bit of research and pre-existing know-how. If you guys did want to try to make something available on Itchio like a cider wrapped windows exe for macs that COULD save, that could probably be a good solution. I have tried playing the windows exe using a wine wrapper on my mac and that worked well except that it doesn't allow me to make any saves. Hey, thank you for looking into this and following up! I don't want to say this is a conspiracy to make Mac users buy new hardware or only purchase software through the Mac store but. :( I think what happened is we were forced to start code-signing and notarizing the Mac builds due to Apple security rules, which upped the minimum OS version to 10.15 during Patch #1 (v2204).
